Living on a student budget is not the easiest thing to do. Accommodation costs are relatively low and if you live on campus, you can save on transport costs which can be expensive. Other cost-saving options include a range of second-hand bookstores, student nights at most clubs and discounts at many local shops. Nevertheless individual students' living expenses differ, thus it is hard to estimate the avarage amount.
Your main costs as a student will be living expenses including accommodation, travel, entertainment, books food and clothing.
The following approximate prices will give you an idea of what costs you can expect. Please note that the tutition fees paid to the Universities does not cover accomodation or board.

The public transport within Cracow is well developed with a network of bus and tram lines which are frequent, convenient and inexpensive. In the beginning you can buy a bunch of single fair tickets in one of the many kiosks. But for 160 Zloty you will get a 5 month travel pass which gives you access to all the trams and buses.
